The Challenge:

Resembling a Hackathon, a team of 3–5 students will be asked to utilize climate datasets across countries in the Middle East and North African region and create data visualizations, heat maps, impact indicators that identify community0wide problem areas.

Teams will present their solutions and be evaluated on the creativity, innovation, and impact potential of their visualizations. The challenge provides an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of billions of people.

Who Should Join:

No prior experience required, but a knowledge on Python is helpful. This challenge is open to every at UC Berkeley or non-UC Berkeley and undergraduates.

Saturday 4/20: 10AM — 7PM, Chou 6th floor Spieker Forum 
Sunday 4/21: 10AM — 4PM, Chou N570

Meals will be provided and participants are not required to stay the whole time. Mentors (UC Berkeley GSIs with a strong technical background) will be available on-site to help teams create and brainstorm)
